Accommodation

Collon house was built in 1740 and was the home of John "Speaker" Foster, the last Speaker of the Irish House of Commons until the Act of Union in 1800. The house contains finely decorated rooms with period furniture and portraits, overlooking a sunken box garden and herbaceous borders. Stay in sumptious Georgian surroundings with all modern facilities. A luxurious coach service to Dublin (Collins Coaches, Route 980) departs from outside our gate, making a car-free day trip to Dublin much more relaxing. Collon is situated in the midst of the historic Boyne Valley, Newgrange, Old Mellifont Abbey and Monasterboice Round Tower are under 20 minutes drive away.
